The Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager (PM) in managing the customer journey from award of sale through to vehicle delivery. The Project Coordinator will play a key role in the execution of successful customer projects. In addition to other duties, the Project Coordinator will assist with administrative tasks related to project, such as monitoring open items, keeping meeting minutes, or creating project schedules.

This role will be primarily remote but may require occasional travel.

Key responsabilities

  • Develop, organize, and maintain documents related to the project such as specification sheets, contracts, and project charters.
  • Schedule and record meeting minutes and action items for project-related meetings.
  • Assist PM in creating and tracking project schedules.
  • Source, synthesize, and share project-related information with the PM.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintain KPI reports and dashboards.
  • Manage project risks and timelines (deliverables, milestones, dates).
  • Follow the work of all internal stakeholders as it relates to customer projects.
  • Identify, analyze, and escalate any problem, risk, or change.
  • Identify and propose process improvements related to project control.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

  • Knowledge or experience with electric vehicles or transportation industry preferred.
  • Experience with project management software, specifically Smartsheet, preferred.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex tasks.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, etc.).
  • Pro-active and self-reliant.
  • Collaborative. Able to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.
  • Interested in electric vehicles and/or sustainability preferred.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree related to business, engineering, or sustainability preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of project management experience or other strategic support experience.
  • Experience working directly with external customers.
  • Previous experience with commercial transportation products or electric vehicle products preferred.

The role is primarily remote, but the hire will have access to an office in the Los Angeles area. Occasional travel outside of Los Angeles may be required.

Office/At home Environment - Work involves sitting most of the work day greater than 50% of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally. Typing and applying pressure with the fingers and palm required. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken and written word.

Repetitive motion: Substantial repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally with force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading, primarily on a computer monitor. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
