Engineer - Vehicle system integration

Job Description

The Engineer – Vehicle system integration will be responsible to ensure the integrity and the consistency of the entire functional logic of vehicles. The incumbent will work in close collaboration with the Product configuration, Design and Development engineering teams, and will be required to have a thorough understanding of the operation of vehicle systems, anticipate their developments and detect conflicting interactions, as well create functional diagrams to support product development teams and ensure deliverables are compliant.

• Define and map the functional logic of vehicle systems.
• Define the control interfaces of various systems.
• Provide technical documents as well as technical and logical diagrams.
• Take part in technical analyses and reviews.
• Participate in technology watches and assess the impacts of integrating new components and technologies to existing products.
• Perform other related tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 5 years of experience in a relevant sector
• Experience in the automobile manufacturing or heavy vehicles sectors
• Experience in the transportation sector (asset)
• Bilingual (French and English)
• Proficiency in PLM management software (e.g. 3DS)
• Knowledge of transport vehicles
• Knowledge of transport electrification (asset)
• Knowledge of MS Office suite
• Knowledge of multiplexed systems
