Engineer - Product strategy

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Director – Product design and configuration, the Engineer – Product strategy will be responsible of supporting the production of functional analyses for electrical vehicle components and of all related documentation. The incumbent will work in close collaboration with Functional and Manufacturing engineering teams as well as project management teams

• Rreview and analyse products by using Catia 3DS software, among others.
• Draft comparative analyses of physical, economical and functional features of various parts, assemblies and systems.
• Identify and suggest improvement opportunities from a multiplatform scalability and adaptability perspective.
• Create analysis and decision aid matrixes.
• Participate in technology watches and assess the impacts of integrating new components and technologies to existing products.  
• Participate in the creation of books of specifications.
• Perform other related tasks.

Requirements

• University degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering
• 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in the automobile manufacturing or heavy vehicle sectors
• Experience in the transportation sector (asset)
• Bilingual (French and English)
• Knowledge of mechanical design
• Knowledge of MS Office suite and Catia V5 software
