Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Lion’s Master Production Schedule across its multiple manufacturing facilities. You will also be responsible for covering open commitments to customers to ensure the optimal management of resources to achieve corporate and department targets notably, around On-Time Delivery and Profitability. You will work closely with our Purchasing & Supply Chain department on the procurement of required materials, assist to coordinate scheduling of work from off-site contract manufacturers, and integration and test of Lion’s products to ensure the On-Time Delivery of products to our customers.

As part of your daily work, you would have to:

  • Define, prepare and optimize production schedules in coordination with Operations management ensuring effective collaboration with Quality, Engineering and Sales departments
  • Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
  • Prepare an efficient Production Master Schedule and maintain knowledge of all key project milestones
  • Propose and implement control mechanisms to ensure effective OTD measurement, monitoring for process improvement in alignment with the corporate objectives
  • Develop and maintain an effective Capacity Planning view based on commitments from Production Master Schedule, identifying risks to On-Time Delivery and proposing solutions
  • Coordinate with the Corporate PMO to ensure effective schedule and release of NPI programs
  • Collaborate with Engineering and the Supply Chain departments to ensure optimal supplier schedule planning and materials arrival
  • Through the leveraging of extensive ERP planning, maintain and ensure optimal inventory management relative to planned contract order and strategic materials investments
  • Ensure efficiency of all schedule production operations providing reports and guidance on materials management and schedule attainment
  • Collaborate with all cross-functional team to maintain quality assurance for all activities
  • Assist to identify and resolve all issues in normal operations and manage all communication for all schedule disruptions
  • Oversee the ERP system ensuring materials life-cycle and status is effective in minimizing over-investment in inventoried materials
  • Perform audits on materials plans and prepare all required documents and provide required training to all subordinates
  • Participate in all process engineering meetings
  • Provide support to all process control operations and recommend improvements
  • Support Risk Identification/analysis and associated Risk Mitigation plan
  • 15+ years proven industry experience in operational planning
  • Previous experience working with Infor or other MRP/ERP software
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or other related field required
  • Advanced skill level with MS Projects & Excel
  • CAPIC (Inventory/Management) Certificate would be an asset
  • APICS (MRP) Certificate would be an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken (French & English)
  • Ability to effectively work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
