You will become an expert on customer behaviour and identify market trends, build towards predictive models, and identify high-value segments that support targeting strategies across customer touchpoints and marketing channels. Ultimately, you’ll unlock the value of internal and external data sources and help Lion Electric’s marketing team scale its capabilities.

The Marketing Analyst is an integral member of our Marketing & Communications team, who gathers information and examines buying trends to develop successful marketing plans, sales strategy, and product development/markets.


As part of your daily work, you would have to:

  • Create a consolidated view of the market: customer trends, competitive landscape, emerging opportunities in the quickly-evolving electrification industry.
  • Monitor the competitors’ marketing activities and outcomes.
  • Analyse competitive market strategies by examining the trends, markets, and products they have in common.
  • Communicate with customers, competitors, professional organizations, and suppliers in order to get information on the industry’s trends.
  • Segment the target audience and determining the appropriate markets to be approached.
  • Provide assistance to the Sales team by compiling all details for upcoming brands, products, or services.
  • Identify customer segments and targeting opportunities to support sales and marketing strategies across paid and owned channels
  • Analyze customer behaviour, marketing funnel, campaign and content performance
  • Query, extract, and transform real-time data sets spanning thousands of customers.
  • Provide expertise on customer data, data flows, and consent-based marketing.
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and build interactive and real-time dashboards.
  • Lead efforts to resolve data quality issues by identifying the root-cause and presenting solutions.
  • Deliver valuable, relevant, compelling, and visually intuitive insights to internal and external partners.
  • Research, gather, and analyse business data for Marketing Managers and Coordinators to review.
  • Use intelligence tools to monitor current customers and to identify new ones.
  • Update business intelligence tools or methods.
  • Design and carry out social, economic, and marketing surveys, as well as demographic studies to define target markets and their buying habits and preferences, as well as to determine existing and future trends.
  • Conduct comparative research on marketing strategies.
  • Review marketing initiatives to provide advice on procedures and requirements.
  • Prepare reports on market trends, consumer habits, and outcomes.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Logical and critical thinking. You love data, testing and learning, and have a high degree of analytical curiosity.
  • An eye for detail. You understand the business behind the data and can identify anomalies when auditing analytics work.
  • Grit. You’ll need self-motivation and perseverance as we master our utilization of our tech stack, and as we establish working processes that are both secure and agile.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, database querying, and intermediate to advanced expertise with SQL.
  • Experience working with customer data using database applications and tools, statistics, modeling, and data mining
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to continuously improve.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple teams (Marketing, Sales, Product Development, Data/Technology).
  • Experience with CRM solutions, Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in data storytelling, pulling insights out of data, and visually organizing data to readily answer business problems.

  • Experience in advanced analytics (e.g., machine learning, optimization)
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Google Analytics experience
  • Business, Marketing, and/or B2B experience
