Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer will manage product procurement and inventory from suppliers. They'll oversee the constant availability of products and control inventories according to specific variables and issues.

As part of your daily work, you would have to:

• Issue purchase orders to maintain inventory levels.
• Manage stock levels and age, obsolete and discontinued products.
• Monitor and respond to market conditions according to company guidelines.
• Analyze sales forecasts to plan upcoming demand.
• Double check pricing accuracy of purchase orders and invoices.
• Work with the Operations department to oversee the receipt of goods.
• Manage product returns to suppliers.
• Make sure the procurement software is up to date.
• All other related tasks.

What you need to succeed in this position:

Knowledge

• Must be bilingual (French and English)
• Good working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of an integrated management system (ERP) an asset

Studies and Experience

• College diploma in purchasing or procurement, an asset
• 2 years of procurement experience in the manufacturing sector
