Reporting to the COO, the Supply Chain Director designs, directs, organizes and controls the flow of raw materials and finished products from procurement to shipping. They'll work towards optimizing the cost-quality-delay ratio. They'll oversee the input planning that goes into product manufacturing. They'll help build strategies to maximize production and storage capacity.


As part of your daily work, you would have to:

  • Manage, organize and coordinate sales and manufacturing planning processes, including: demand forecasting, inventory management and on-time delivery to clients.
  • Process client orders upstream of production and oversee physical tracking of stocks to satisfy clients at an acceptable inventory level.
  • Lead overall direction and coordination of purchasing, planning, transportation and scheduling activities with assigned staff.
  • Establish, coordinate and monitor subcontracting strategies.
  • Main person responsible for optimizing inventory management and accuracy.
  • Establish all the strategies for organizing transport.
  • Participate in analyzing sales history data and establish adequate safety stock levels based on forward-thinking, innovative strategies.
  • Drive the performance management process using KPIs.
  • Maintain quality relationships with internal partners.
  • Manage the department's budget, tracking and optimizing costs.
  • Apply and comply with safety rules at all times.
  • Apply and comply with company policies and quality systems.

What you need to succeed in this position:

Knowledge

Studies and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management
  • 10 years' experience, 5 in a similar position
  • Experience in logistics
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing operations
