As part of Lion's Operations team, you will report to the Sr Manager of Operational Excellence and oversee the bus production lines' smooth operation and optimisation with your teams. You will lead your team in a way to ensure optimal resource planning, production planning as wel las inventory control. 

As part of your daily work, you would have to:

  • Oversee strategic management of production and resource planning based on production needs.
  • Maintain professional, effective communication with senior management.
  • Build and implement tools and processes for continuous operations improvement and optimization.
  • Coach, train and motivate the team of supervisors to achieve the company's objectives.
  • Establish production and manufacturing schedules.
  • Manage production budgets according to profitability objectives.
  • Monitor compliance with company procedures and policies to meet quality standards.
  • Promote and maintain health and safety in the workplace and a risk-free work environment.
  • Lead the performance management process using KPIs.
  • Support Inventory management and 3PL Coordination.
  • Oversee team handling incoming/outgoing shipping functions.

What you need to succeed in this position:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management or other relevant training;
  • 7 to 10 years' experience in a similar manufacturing position;
  • ERP system expert;
  • MS Office Suite expert;
  • Find solutions and apply them;
  • Able to navigate through several priorities;
  • Work well under pressure and in a constant changing environment;
  • Communicates effectively;
  • Can manage different work teams and motivate them;
  • You are creative, innovative, have great leadership and have a go-getter attitude;
  • Excellent judgement.
