Under the Platform Software manager, the charging system engineer will be responsible for coordinating the different technical aspects of the charging system of the vehicle and electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE). The systems engineer will work mainly with electrical, mechanical and software team but will also coordinate with service, project, and sales team.

As part of your daily work, you would have to:

  • Expert knowledge of vehicle and EVSE charging protocol (ISO and DIN protocols) and hardware specifications (attenuation, shielding, etc.)
  • Provide requirements to multidisciplinary team to meet overall system functionality for all of Lion vehicles.
  • Plan and supervise compliance testing for Lion platforms and partner EVSE solution.
  • Provide recommendation for EVSE installation and selection.
  • Coordinate with service team to support analysis of in field issues. 
  • Coordinate with commercial and R&D teams to plan and implement future charging requirements and functionalities.

What you need to succeed in this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, software)
  • Experience with EVSE and EV
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Understanding of electrical and software engineering principles
  • Knowledge of standards DIN 70121, ISO 15118-2, ISO15118-20 (an asset)
  • Good analytical skills
