As part of your daily work, you would have to:
Lion Electric is currently seeking a Payroll Technician to join our team. The Payroll Technician will complete the full payroll cycle for the new Joliet, IL facility.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Manage US and Canadian payroll and benefits (approximately 500 employees).
Work on continuous improvement projects for payroll and benefits, payroll procedures, proposing and implementing recommendations.
Participate prepare the year-end process (T4s, relevés, RRSP, CNESST/WC).
Help onboard and integrate new employees.
Support assigned client groups with payroll and benefits issues.
Apply and review Human Resources policies and procedures.
Work on various human resources projects.
All other related tasks.
Knowledge:
Solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite
Knowledge of American labour standards an asset
Expert using Nethris payroll system and Synerion time management system an asset

Education/Experience
College studies in accounting, human resources or other relevant field
CPA member an asset
3 to 5 years' experience in complete American payroll cycle
Experience in a manufacturing environment or in US payroll (multi-state) an asset
