Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Quality Supervisor, Quality Assurance Technician works within a multidisciplinary team to maintain and improve the quality of our products.

As part of your daily work, you would have to:

• Conduct quality checks on products at different stages of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
• Validate non-conformities (measurements-drawings), inspect stock to measure the extent of the issue and initiate MRR (Material Rejection Report)
• Create derogation requests and ensure their follow-up.
• Train QA Inspectors
• Work in collaboration with production supervisors to find the root cause of non-conformities.
• Manage quarantine area, return non-conforming product to vendor and schedule rework of internal non-conformities.

• Excel (intermediate).
• Word (intermediate).

• Must be able to read Engineering drawings and use basic measurement tools (Ex. Calipers and micrometer)
• While performing the duties of this job, Quality Assurance will be required to be on their feet for 8+ hours, kneel, and stoop, along with being able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Studies and experience

• High school diploma
• 1 year of experience in a similar position.
• Experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
