Heavy Technician - Sacramento

Job Description

Reporting to Service Coordinator, the Technician will maintain, support and service our fleet of electric vehicles in our Service Center in Sacramento or at the customer site.

Main responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform repairs on buses on site and in the Service Center;
• Provide technical support when needed, on site if required;
• Follow warranty guidelines;
• Road test vehicles when necessary;
• Master electronic modules and update software’s daily;
• Develop processes and standards in order to maintain efficiency;
• Coach the other technicians on heavy technical;
• Stay up to date on latest technologies;
• Work in collaboration with various departments of the company.

Knowledge

• MS Office
• Excellent computer skills.

• Ability to read, understand and explain electrical and mechanical plans;
• Ability to manage emergency situations and prioritize short term deliveries;

• Handyman, proficiency in the use of hand tools;
• Must be able to safely operate/work out of a mobile service truck;

• Valid passport;
• Required to travel;
• Vocational/Technical Certification preferred;
• AC certification;
• License required.

Education and experience

• Automotive Technology Degree or Certificate;
• Relevant training course related to the position;
• 5 years experience;
• Experience with Hybrid and Electrical vehicles, an asset;
• Experience with the trucking industry.
